Modern wool
rugs such as Tibetan rugs are in a class of their own
- - But which type is best for you ?
Wool rugs come
in a huge number of shapes and sizes, and are available in traditional
styles from the famous Tibetan rugs, through to the most modern
contemporary designs. Wool based Tibetan rugs have been produced
for centuries, they originate from the kingdom of Nepal, and
are now available in both traditonal and modern styles. Quite
simply, todays wool rugs are in a class of their own.
The woolen fibers found in wool rugs are naturally elastic,
and it is this unique property that gives them their hard
wearing characteristics. In addition they are naturally fire
resistant, water repellent, anti static, dirt resistant, and
they look great as well. Maybe the weavers of the first Tibeten
Rugs chose wool for just these reasons.
Oriental wool rugs have been hand woven for generations,
using high quality hand spun and vegetable dyed wools. Styles
such as the fabulous Tibetan rugs and Oushak Rugs make a fantastic
addition to any room.
