Floor rugs
range in size from area rugs to room sized rugs -- But how
should you choose one?
Floor rugs come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, from area
rugs to room sized rugs. Floor rugs have been designed to
be used on the floor or a room and should easily stand up
to many years of use, as long as a durable enough style is
chosen. Area rugs in particular can sustain heavy traffic
and so should be checked for their wear resistance and ease
of cleaning. Other rug types such as throw rugs and the home
made penny rugs are not intended to be used on a floor and
would be quickly damaged if used in this way.
There are many styles of floor rug, from persian rugs to
modern contemporary rugs. As stated earlier, when looking
to place a room sized or area rug in a room you need to consider
the amount of traffic it is likely to receive, the speed with
which it is likely to be soiled, the function which you need
it to perform as well as the color and design that you require.
You should then check that your choice of rug meets all these
requirements before purchase.
Floor rugs, both room sized and area rugs, are widely available
online at one of the many rug merchants. Take your time and
check prices between merchants, as some huge savings can be
made with a little careful research.
